SSD:

CASE 1.

This SSD came to us because it was not recognized by our customer’s laptop.

After an intensive troubleshooting procedure we had to replace the processor and some electronic components to make it work. After all this work, we had to fix some software issues to make a good clone and start the data recovery process.

Data recovered: 100%. 

 

CASE 2. 

 

This SSD came to us because it was recognized by our customer’s laptop but could not get the data back.

It was an electrical problem. One of the switching power supply on board was bad. It was fixed and we were able to recover data. Some recovered files could not open.

Data recovered: 90%. 



Hard drives:

CASE 1.

Manitou Springs flood. Agust 2013.


Part of the email sent by our customer:

After an intensive troubleshooting of every single drive and planing next step for each hard drive Ximatic proceeded to perform specific procedures for each hard drive.  Our complete team had to be involve in this recovery. We went from mechanical, electrical to software issues that we had to overcome. Finally, our customer is very happy, all his data has been recovered.

CASE 2.

This hard drive came to us because it was not recognized by our customer’s laptop and head asswmbly was clicking.

After an intensive troubleshooting procedure we had to replace the head assembly because the voice coil was getting a short circuit. After we got the donor drive we replace the heads and the hard drive came up. During the data recovery process we had to deal with some bad sector issues.

Data recovered: 100%. 


CASE 3.

This hard drive came to us because it was not recognized by our customer’s desktop.

After a quick visual inspeccion we had electrical issue to solve. We clean the area, replace component, rebuild copper traces and replace a peripheral IC that was shorting +5V. on the logic board. Also, we had to fix some software issues to make a good clone and start the data recovery process.

Data recovered: 100%. 



Thumb Drives:

CASE 1.

This Thumb drive (2.0) came to us because it was not recognized by our customer’s laptop.

After an intensive troubleshooting procedure we had to replace the processor and crystal to make it work. After all this work, we had to fix some software issues to make a good clone and start the data recovery process.

Data recovered: 80%. 

 

CASE 2.

This Thumb drive (3.0) did not came up at all. 

After an intensive troubleshooting procedure we notice that the shape on data pulses in the thumb drive port had a lot of noise. Electrical problems were overcome and allow us to clone it and do a good recovery.
